Signature Experiences at Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa, Gangtok

The unique monastery experience at Lingdok

On the periphery of a beautiful village called Lingdok, neighbouring glinting terraced rice fields, scattered with bermuda grass that gives Pangthang its name, and located just 9.5 Km from the resort -  through enchanting cedar and pine forests - is a unique monastery and Buddhist Gompa, run and managed by women monks and sustained by the local communities. The drive is utterly scenic, and the prayer session resonates with a spiritual fervor that has to be experienced in person. Guests will have the option of walking this path if they so desire. This is meant for folks looking for a spiritually elevating experience. The resort makes it an unmissable by serving pre-packed refreshments at a scenic spot near the Monastery. Camping chairs, stools, tables are set up for you to simply luxuriate in the scenery.
