This museum houses treasures that include weaponry and royal and religious relics from the ancient and medieval periods of Maldivian history. Old Friday Mosque

The oldest mosque in the Maldives, Old Friday Mosque dates back to 1656. The structure is made of coral stone, into which Quranic inscriptions have been chiselled, and the interiors feature stunning lacquer-work and fine wood-carvings. As it is a religious structure, be sensitive to local sensibilities while visiting.
