Recently, the iconic hotel hosted an event that offered an array of vegetarian cuisines from traditional Awadhi and Malaysian to contemporary Japanese, Chinese and Peruvian dishes. Amit Chowdhury, The Executive Chef at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai shared, “We offered a bountiful selection of food from around the world that was cooked live by our skilled chefs of the Taj. The vegetarian wonders included Quorma, Gucchi Mutter, Mirch ka Salan, and Chilgoza Pulao that were complemented by live stations dishing out live Tempered Dals, Chonka Dahi and Tawa Breads. The guests also sampled international dishes with their extensive menu of small plates comprising Truffle and Mushroom, Peruvian Anticuchos, Spanish Tapas and a unique Rice Bar, among others.”
“The dessert selection was a sweet connoisseur’s delight with innovative creations such as the Bean to Bark Chocolate made after 60 hours of relentless conching of cocoa beans. Other unique treats included a Live Fruit Caviar Lab, a Hot Chocolate Bar using multi-percentage chocolates, traditional Awadhi desserts like Zarda, Badam Halwa, live Kesari Jalebi, and a huge fresh fruit carving station with the best options from around the world. A Masala Milk station and a Kulfi Bar gave guests a chance to enjoy familiar flavours at this impressive showcase of vegetarian delights”, shared The Executive Chef, Amit Chowdhury.
