A warm and welcoming stay which, with a few tweaks, could be exceptional.
Our suite was great and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming in a difficult situation (Covid). One area of improvement is the breakfast which we ordered every day to our suite. It was unclear what breakfast came with our room rate and everyone we spoke to gave us a different answer. One lady said that guests could only order the traditional English or continental, with everything else to be paid for in addition. Another lady said each of us could order any one item. On every occasion, there were items missing from our breakfast. For example, there were no sauces delivered with our traditional English breakfast on our first morning but they were delivered the following day with our pancakes! Toast was delivered on day one with our continental breakfast but we had to ask for it on day two with our continental. Also, not enough cutlery was delivered on both days and the pancakes were a little cold. On our second day we had to re-order tea and coffee as the waiter forgot to bring them. We were informed that pre-Covid the hotel offered complimentary drinks at Kona in the afternoon. Other hotels are offering substitutes to this type of thing and it would have been nice for us to have been offered some complimentary drinks in our suite given the price we were paying. All in all a very good stay which could have been exceptional with some diligence on the breakfast delivery/ordering.
