La Mesa

Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II was India’s first Ambassador to Spain and this is celebrated in the form of décor and dining at La Mesa. With a dynamic menu that spans cuisines – from Spanish to Italian, from Asian to Indian, the all-day dining restaurant ensures delectable dishes for every gourmand’s palate, while the beverages, celebrating Spanish festivals and seasons, are a celebration of Spain’s culture. The interiors are adorned with comfortable seating, vibrant art from Spain, and with photographs of the Maharaja’s visit to the country – all in a successful attempt to connect guests to that era. As the proverbial cherry on top, the live kitchen makes for an impressive performance as guests witness, first-hand, the preparation of a few select dishes.

The Spanish Section of the Menu is a must-try. Dishes have been handpicked to suit the Indian palate, in consultation with the Royal Family, who have a close association with Spain. The Bacalao pil-pil is a unique dish which everyone should try. Our dishes are presented in an elegantly simple form and are complemented by the flamboyance of flavours, whatever the cuisine may be. We have specifically kept in mind people’s varied preferences and have made provisions for single diners as well. Our small plates are ideal for those looking for a filling meal that is both eclectic and comfort-inducing. Our menu is dynamic and will change every few months so that we are able to provide something novel to regular guests during every visit. Creating the menu has been hectic and fulfilling. I think the best compliment for me as a chef is an empty plate of food coming out from the restaurant.
