The Maharana Pratap Airport is situated about 20km from the city centre. It is well-connected to all major cities in India, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur.

The closest rail-head is Udaipur City. Udaipur lies on a vast rail network that connects it to major cities in North, West, Central and East India. The luxurious Palace of Wheels also makes a scheduled stop here.

There are well-established bus service networks to and from Udaipur, which link it to cities across the northern belt of the country. The choices range from deluxe coaches to air conditioned coaches and even standard state-run transport.

Udaipur is connected to the rest of the state through a good network of highways. National Highway 8 runs from Mumbai to New Delhi through Udaipur. The drive is about eleven hours long in either direction, and covers a distance of roughly 700km from both cities.
