Pune’s international airport has a regular schedule of flights to cities across India, as well as to select international cities including Frankfurt and Dubai. The aiport is located about 10km from the city. 

The Pune Junction railway station is a major rail hub for western India. It is the origin of trains running to the south of the country, and also a stop on trains heading northwards towards states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.  

There are frequent bus services, both privately-operated and government-run, linking Pune to Mumbai. Pune Station Bus Stand, near the railway station, is one of the city’s main bus stops, and services buses to the rest of Maharashtra and also to neighbouring states.

The Mumbai – Pune Expressway provides easy access to Mumbai. Pune also falls on National Highway 4, part of the Golden Quadrilateral network of highways that link the country’s four major metros.
