You will find a variety of bus services, both privately-operated and government run, that connect Ajmer to the rest of Rajasthan and north and west India. Buses start and terminate from Ajmer Bus Stand, located in Railway Colony.
Ajmer falls on National Highway 8, which links Mumbai to New Delhi. It is one of the busiest highways in the country and part of the Golden Quadrilateral network. The city is also served by state highways that connect it to other important cities in Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner.
