Mumbai, 14th November 2009: The Taj Lands End, an integral part of the Taj Luxury Hotels celebrated the grand opening of the signature boutique store Taj Khazana over an evening of fine wine and cheese at Taj Lands End. Part museum, part boutique store and showcasing the finest artisans, traditions and crafts that India has to offer, the Taj Khazana in whole is a paean to all things tasteful.
From miniature paintings to designer garments, objet d’art and jewels, handbags and more; the Taj Khazana houses an intriguing mélange of forgotten arts and an unforgettable tradition. The intricately hand painted Kalamkaris by master craftsmen, gold and tussar Andhra woven silks and modern weaves on begal silks to the contemporary works of renowned artists and local artisans, Taj Khazana bears testimony to the pas de deux of India’s culturally rich past and present.
Artists and aficionado’s, corporate leaders and connoisseurs, the Taj Khazana is a shopping haven at Taj hotels across the country and will continue to allure the crème de la crème with its first store in Mumbai at Taj Lands End.

Taj Khazana at Taj Lands End will house sarees from Banares master weavers, hand-made garments in the finest mul and silk, antiquated vegetable dye prints on dupion crepe and superbly finished structured evening bags encased in silk and studded with precious stones. The apparel section also presents a fine quality of cashmere, silk and linen crafted into an exquisite collection of loungewear, scarves and wraps. Intricately embroidered scarves and stoles in Kantha also form part of the collection.
The signature boutique displays traditional and timeless designs of balis, necklaces and earrings. The avant garde jewellery carved and molded with semiprecious stones and precious metals inspired by the European masters are a treasure on their own. Taj Khazana also has a collection of heritage bronze items and eclectic furniture including chests.
