The cuisine promises to captivate taste buds by bringing out many undiscovered facets of Japanese cuisine with its unique use of time tested ingredients, transformed by renowned international chef to create a fresh, new taste. The eclectic menu boasts of dishes, created specially by Chef Morimoto and celebrated Chef Hemant Oberoi.
At this world-class Japanese restaurant, Chef Masaharu Morimoto, known to many as the Iron Chef, creates magic with his distinctive cooking style. The ingredients With Cold Appetizers that include specials like ‘Morimoto Sashimi’ and ‘White Fish’ or ‘Salmon Carpaccio’, complemented by Hot Appetizers like the Chef’s special ‘Morimoto Tempura’, the menu offers a gamut of delicacies from Soups, Salads, to Noodles & Entrees. A large Seafood Selection is flown in from around the world for those carefully handcrafted dishes created by none other than Chef Morimoto himself at the Sushi Bar, which includes an extensive selection of Sushi and Sashimis like ‘Botan Ebi’, ‘Aji’ and ‘Tamago’.
The ‘Vegetarian’ palates have no limits either. With the mixed vegetable ‘Wok Sautee Teriyaki’ , ‘Newspaper Vegetable Beggar’s Purse’ (asparagus and shiitake mushrooms) and ‘Ishi yaki veg. bop’ (vegetable on rice prepared at your table in hot river stone bowls), one is sure to smack their lips for more. The ‘Tepanyaki Menu’ adds that extra spice to the variety of choices offered with its exclusive vegetarian array of ‘Tofu Saute’ and ‘Yaki Soba’ to the non- vegetarian specials of Jumbo Shrimps and King Crabs. Culminating a fine meal into a memorable one are the Desserts consisting of ‘Sesame Panacotta’, ‘Azuki Zenzai’ and ‘Wasabi Crème Brulee’, to name just a few.

The restaurant features the most impressive repertoire of Japanese Sake’s with a separate Sake Bar, and boasts of a dramatic Teppanyaki counter, setting ablaze a vibrant display of theatre in iron showmanship and Sushi Bar, fresh ingredients flown in from Tsujuki everyday.
WASABI by Morimoto takes pride in introducing the ‘Omakase Menu’- A concept wherein the guest lets the chef decide the menu of his choice and treat him with the best on offer, entirely unique and independent of the set menu, topped with the unique interactive dining experience.
Amidst the restaurant there is a private dining room, set in the alcove of the restaurant. The private dining room is strategically located so that it enjoys its own exclusivity whilst appreciating the vibrant energy of the venue. This room exudes decadence as it is encapsulated within a wall of pink backlit onyx, where the high backed chairs cocoon the diners.
Wasabi offers separate crockery and cutlery for vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, with set menu and chef’s sampler menu topped with the unique interactive dining experience. Each bar is like a stage set, accented by dramatic lighting.

Designed by Theo Nicolau from EAD, London, WASABI by Morimoto displays a contemporary feeling with its modern décor using different textures and fabrics. The 54 cover restaurant provides a variety of diverse dining experiences.
The sophisticated lighting control system- a mixture of concealed LED lighting coffered ceiling zones and decorative flute glass chandeliers provide dramatic mood lighting and scene settings throughout. The Sushi and Teppanyaki bars offer a unique interactive experience where theatre plays a vital part in the food preparation. The dramatic changing light settings offer an ever changing environment which is truly theatrical and where every seat in the house offers a unique experience of this striking and well ordered space. Each bar is like a stage set, accented by dramatic lighting. The furniture layout gives the restaurant an uncluttered, chic space.

About Chef Morimoto
Prominent Japanese Chef Morimoto mastered the art of Sushi & traditional Kaiseki cuisine after having trained under several of his country’s master Chefs. Soon after that, he went on to open his own restaurant in hometown Hiroshima. Morimoto spent the next few years working in some of New York City’s most notable Japanese restaurants.
After having traveled avidly from one city to another, adding more and more experience and expertise to his profile, Chef Morimoto was invited by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to open New York City’s Nobu restaurant and was subsequently promoted to Executive Chef. Since 1998, Chef Morimoto has combined his passion for cuisine, competition and performance on the widely popular television show “Iron Chef” produced by Fuji television. In November 2001, Morimoto opened his first restaurant in the US in the city of Philadelphia with another to follow in New York. After the success of Chef Morimoto’s Wasabi at The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, he has opened the second Wasabi at The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.
