Retracing the signature dishes of Shamiana, the 40th anniversary menu will include Spicy Lamb Burger, Kheema Pav, Fish Orly, Masala Chai, Badshahi Falooda, Spaghetti Burmese, Baked Vegetable Princess, Pav Bhaji, Cheese Chilly Toast and Black Forrest Pastry

Shamiana was a hotspot for locals wanting to enjoy a casual time. This restaurant will always be special to me since I started my career from the kitchen of Shamiana. Now that this restaurant is celebrating its 40th anniversary, we have come up with an interesting theme of serving our signature dishes at Rs. 40. Under the royal Indian canopy, Shamiana has brought Bombay’s ‘street food’ items like bhelpuri, batata puri, chaat, pao-bhaji, dosas etc into a luxury hotel. Shamiana has also lead the way in exporting this same ‘street food’ overseas, in 1984 when the Taj was requested by the Government of India to send a food team to Paris as its contribution to France’s Festival of India.
