Continuing this tradition of firsts, the hotel is honoured to welcome the King of Spain, His Majesty Juan Carlos to The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai on his first visit to the city. His Majesty received a traditional red carpet welcome, the highlight of which was the sitar, tabla and flute playing Swagatam in the background introducing him to the country’s rich musical culture. On arrival, Renu Basu - Global Vice President – Sales, The Indian Hotels Company Ltd and Gaurav Pokhariyal - General Manager, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai were present to greet his royal highness. The hotel hosted him along with his entourage from October 24th to October 25th during his stay in Mumbai.
