The Pierre, A Taj Hotel is under the second phase of renovation, which began on January 1, 2008. All 200-guest accommodations, including 41 suites are presently being upgraded and renovated, as well as the corridors, public areas, Café Pierre & bar. Estimated overall cost associated with the renovation is over $100 million. The Pierre is expected to re-open its guest rooms in early 2009. “Taj has a 105-year history of luxury service and is dedicated to restoring this hotel to perfection,” says Mr. Heiko Kuenstle (General Manager).

The first phase of the Pierre renovation was completed in January 2007, and included the Grand Ballroom, the Cotillion Room & Foyer. All banquet and meeting rooms are open, fully staffed and operative throughout the second phase of the renovation.
