Gulmohar Suite
This exquisite suite used to look out onto the old Taj Palace garden, a space now occupied by the swimming pool.
The suite
gets its name from a beautiful Gulmohar tree that dominated the garden and also served as the inspiration for the design interpretation of the suite.
While orange dominates the entire space, shades of yellow and tangerine punctuate the Gulmohar tree inspired palette. A conventional entrance through a spacious living room leads to series of rooms that branch out of a central hallway, much like a tree. The bedroom, powder room, shower space all adjoin the main hallway as offshoots. The essence of the beautiful Gulmohar tree pervades every element and even the minutest space of the suite. An overwhelming feeling of being ensconced by Nature’s beauty is ever-present and sometimes it’s easy to forget that you actually are indoors. Idyllic and vibrant, there’s always a springtime cheer to the Gulmohar Suite.
