The Pierre, A Taj Hotel occupies a choice corner on Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park where midtown's upscale shopping transforms into the residential elegance of the Upper East Side. The hotel's main entrance on 61st street between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue offers a wheelchair accessible route that accesses the main lobby and guest elevators through two marble ramps flanking the concierge desk. The Pierre offers valet parking at the 61st street entrance, or guests may choose to self-park in the public garage located directly in front of the hotel.
The iconic flagship hotel underwent a $100 million dollar renovation updating all 189 residential-style accommodations, including six ADA compliant guestrooms and four ADA compliant spacious suites. The hotel's public, banquet and meeting spaces were also redesigned and enjoy wheelchair access through the hotel's main elevators and carpeted ramps.
Known for its personalized service, the Five Diamond hotel offers private in-room body treatments from Taj's Jiva Spa brand, 24-hour white-gloved elevator attendants, and a complimentary business and fitness center.

Located between floors 5 to 21, City View Rooms are an average of 350 square feet (33 square meters). They feature king beds, 40-inch interactive flat-screen TVs with closed captioning, and working desks with built-in power and data ports. City View Rooms offer marble-clad bathrooms featuring roll-in showers with oversized showerheads and deep soaking tubs with grab bars and bath fold down seats available upon request. Guestrooms also have wheelchair accessible controls for lighting and air-conditioning, and audible and visual smoke detectors. For increased security, all doors have wheelchair accessible viewers. City View Rooms are coveted for their Manhattan views, sumptuous bedding and original artwork.
