• Historical Malé

Savour a visit to the Malé, the world's smallest capital city, accessed by a 15-minutes luxury speedboat ride. The small, exotic and easy-going city buzzes with activity in its shops and markets. The museum with a wide range of historic relics, the 400-year-old mosque, the "Hukuru Miskiiy" with some of the finest coral carvings, the Islamic Centre, the Munnaaru (Minaret), the shrine of Abul Barakath Yousuf Al-Barbari, the former presidential palace, the Sultan Park, the National Museum and the tomb of Mohamed Thakurufaanu present a fascinating insight into the country's unique history. Sumptuous samples of Maldivian treats tantalize the taste buds at the local fruit and vegetable market. The fish market displays an array of freshly caught fish. Authentic Maldivian souvenirs are available at a traditional art and craft shop.

The 3-hours Escape is available 7 days a week, from 1400 hours to 1700 hours. The Escape is available for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 guests.

• Bird's Eye View of Maldives

Apart from its magnificent marine life, the Maldives is blessed with coral reefs, turquoise lagoons and white sandy beaches. Our seaplane flight allows you to fully appreciate this picturesque country from the air. Your camera will be indispensable to capture the natural beauty of these tropical islands, resembling tiny pearls studded in a vast aquamarine canvas painted by the ocean, frame by frame. The plane lands at your feet on the beach and will take you on a 25-minute flight within the Atoll.

The 25-minutes Escape is available on every Friday. The Escape is available for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 14 guests. Private charters can be organised on request. For less than 8 guests, a separate charge would be applicable. 24 hours prior notice is requested.

• Island Exploration

A 30-minutes ride by the luxury speedboat reaches guests to Maafushi, an authentic Maldivian fishing village. An accompanying guide provides details of local history, culture and tradition of the quaint village blessed with diverse natural vegetation, fruit trees and coconut groves.

A mere 15 minutes away stretches a picnic island Maadhu Finolhu, a solitary sand bank enclosed by the translucent waters of the Indian Ocean and a coral reef teeming with a multitude of brightly coloured fish. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim or snorkel in this isolated haven or simply marvel at the dynamic panorama. A delicious Cast Away Basket and personalized service make this a unique Escape and Experience.

This 5-hours Escape is available on Thursdays and Saturdays from 1000 to 1500 hours. The Escape is available of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 guests.

• Sunset Cruise

Sunsets at Emboodhu Finolhu Island are special and spectacular. Enjoy a luxury cruise around the lagoon in the resort's customized speedboat and savour a stunning display of the changing hues of the sky and sea tinged by the setting sun. Enhance your enjoyment with a fine wine or champagne from the resort's exclusive wine room. Share this beautiful romantic cruise with a love one for an unforgettable experience.

This 1-hour Escape is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1700 to 1800 hours. There is an additional charge for the wine or champagne served. The cruise is available for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 guests.

• Fishing by Twilight

For centuries fishing has been the lifeline of the Maldives. The local fishermen employ a variety of techniques to catch fish that vary according to the type of fish and the time of the day. Guests at the resort can look forward to enjoying a stint of sunset fishing, also called night fishing, at the magical sunset hours along with sweeping views of the sunset whilst aboard an authentic Maldivian Dhoni. The charming wooden boat anchors by a reef close to the resort's island. With fishing lines, tackle and bait you can try their luck in catching reef fish such as Grouper, Red Snapper, Squirrel Fish, Skip Jack Tuna and Barracuda. You would be served your prized catch for lunch the next day, depending on the palatability of the fish. The chef would be more than pleased to prepare the fish according to your liking.

This 2 hours Escape is available every Wednesday and Friday from 1730 hours to 1930 hours. The Escape is available for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 guests.

• Big Game Fishing and Casting

A 4 or 8 hour escape of fishing on board a specially designed game boat is suitable for casting and big game fishing.

• Submarine Dive

A once in a lifetime opportunity to dive without a chance of getting wet and appreciate the treasured marine life of the Maldives. The submarine dive is organised in coordination with Government of Maldives.

• Private Sunset Cruise

Spend an hour with your beloved in the ocean. Enjoy the ocean with possible dolphin sightings and cruising around with magnificent display of colours during the sunset.

• Private Bird's Eye View of Maldives

Turquoise waters, pearls of islands in the ocean, greens of the trees and the sight of cruising Dhonis are yours to view from the air. A seaplane experience from above the islands is a "must do" feature in Maldives. Savour a private moment with your loved one viewing this beautiful country and its pearl like islands embedded in the vast Indian Ocean.

A choice of Castaway Baskets is available on the longer trips to enhance the enjoyment of the experience. Each Castaway Basket has two servings of food and Evian mineral water. Additional soft beverages can be ordered separately from our beverage menu. Alcohol is not served as its service is not permitted by law in areas where Escapes and Experiences are offered. The resort personalizes menus for guests with special dietary requirements or preferences.
