Designed in a minimalist style with touches that reflect the elements of nature, the Jiva Spa is equipped with single treatment rooms, double treatment suites, meditation and yoga pavilion with a separate Ayurveda enclave with thatched huts, swimming pool and a fully-equipped gym and a beauty salon amongst others.

Signature Jiva Spa experience bring in secret rejuvenation and engaging experiences from the splendor of Regal India. Blending ancient Indian wisdom with contemporary therapies, the Jiva Spa unveils the best in Indian rejuvenation therapies ranging from Indian aromatherapy massages, time-honored Indian treatments, body scrubs and wraps. Contributing their skill to the wellness experience are trained practitioners of ayurveda, meditation, yoga as well as Indian and other signature body therapies.

These answers to our guests' most frequently asked questions will help enhance the Jiva Spa experience.

When is the Spa open?
Jiva Spa - On all week days from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Taj Ayurveda - On all week days from 8 am to 5:30 pm
Gymnasium - On all week days from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm
Hydrotherapy - On all week days from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm

When should a guest arrive for a spa treatment?
Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to check in, change, and familiarise themselves with the facility. Guests can also enjoy spending some time perusing the spa collection at our boutique.


How should a guest make an appointment for a treatment?
The appointments will be scheduled on a first come-first served basis. The Spa recommends that guests book their appointments in advance to avoid disappointment.


What if a guest cannot make an appointment?
The spa requires 2 hours notice for the cancellation for any treatment that needs to be cancelled. Cancellation without prior notice will be charged 50% of the treatment fee and for no show after confirmation 75% of the treatment fee will be charged to the guest room.


Is there someone to help guests decide on the appropriate treatment?
Our Spa Manager will assist in planning a program to suit individual needs.


How many kinds of treatments are there?
We offer a simple but effective selection of massage techniques to relax and pamper the body. Our Spa Manager and team of therapists at the spa will help guests decide on specific treatments that are most appealing and beneficial.


Is there a limit to the number of spa treatments guests should plan in a day?
Guests may have as many as they like (one of each kind in a day). Our Spa Manager will suggest the best order in which guests can enjoy your treatments.


What if guests have special health considerations?
Guests should notify our Spa Manager or therapists before booking your treatments if they have high blood pressure, allergies, other physical ailments or disabilities. We recommend that alcohol not be consumed before, during or immediately after your spa treatments for at 45 to 60 minutes.


What should guests wear during their treatment?
Guests may wish to wear their own bikini or briefs, or we can provide you hygienic disposable briefs. Alternatively, treatments may be enjoyed without clothes. Our therapists will always use draping techniques to respect your privacy.


Can guests ask the therapist to accommodate personal preferences and /or to adjust the treatment pressure to increase comfort?
We definitely encourage this practice as guests should enjoy the experience to the fullest whether it is the music selection, volume, the amount of pressure or a personal favourite from the spa's specially blended oils.


What about a guest's watch, jewellery and valuables?
Guests should leave these personal items in their rooms' electronic safe otherwise a locker will be provided.


Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. We suggest the relaxing effect of a shower before your treatment .You are welcome to wear your robe in the spa, or change in our changing area. Our communal wet area encompasses a steam & a shower. Please wear a swimsuit or trunks. We strongly recommend session the "wet" areas before your treatment. Spending relaxing time here will enhance the effects of your treatments by warming muscles, opening pores, encouraging detox and allowing you deeper relaxation during your treatment.

We recommend that men shave a few hours prior to a facial treatment.

Guest with high blood pressure, heart conditions, who are pregnant or have any medical complications are advised to consult their doctors before signing up for a Spa service. Please inform your Spa Therapist of any medical conditions.

The Spa is opened from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm seven days a week.
Taj Ayurveda opens from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm seven days a week.


VALUABLES
We suggest that you leave all valuables in your hotel room; while we endeavour to look after your belongings, we do not assume liability for your valuables.


CANCELLATIONS:
A 24 hour notice is required to help us reschedule your appointment, subject to space availability. Any cancellation with less than 3 hours notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Full charges will be imposed for a 'No Show'.
