Pre—Wedding Celebrations

Couple is greeted with traditional Kerala welcome, complete with “Thalapoli” (Girls dressed in traditional Kerala attire with lamps and flower garlands) along with cold towels and a welcome drink of tender coconut water.

In the evening, the wedding party enjoys the wonder of a Kerala Temple Festival Theme Dinner – The venue is decorated like as a traditional Kerala temple festival with;

Traditional diyas around the lagoon.

Elephant caparisons and traditional temple lamps.

Staff dressed in traditional Kerala attire.

The menu for the evening will be from the Travancore region of Kerala with a wide selection of Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian delicacies of that region.

Traditional Kerala entertainment of “Mohiniattam”, “Kathakalli” and classical instrumental music.

The entire venue will be decorated with “Kuruthola” (Tender coconut leaves).

Day Two:
Breakfast cruise on the Vembanad Lake with a traditional Syrian Christian Buffet. The wedding party views the villages of Kerala along the backwaters and cruise along the canals, while enjoying a sumptuous breakfast buffet on board.

Evening:
“Traditional Fishing Village” – The lakefront will be decorated to create a ‘Fishing Village’ theme. The set would have the following,

Staff will be dressed in lungis, with white vests and headbands.

Fishing nets settings at the lawns at various points.

Buffet will be set in traditional thatched roof counters with lanterns and petromax lamps.

The bar will be set like a toddy shop.

All food will be served in earthen ware vessels.

Live seafood market set in a traditional fishing boat with the catch of the day cooked to the guest’s choice.

Entertainment for the evening will be the folk dances of coastal Kerala.


Wedding Procession

Traditional herbal oil massage for the bride and the bridegroom followed by a sandalwood face pack.


The Wedding Ceremony

Traditional Kerala music like the Panchavadyam is played at the entrance.

Guests are welcomed by little girls dressed in traditional Kerala outfits.

The Wedding Pandal is decorated in traditional finery, complete with the priest to conduct the wedding, “Nadaswaram” (traditional Kerala wedding music).


Post—Wedding Ceremony

Traditional Kerala “Sadhya” served on a banana leaf with 13 different types of curries and condiments.

Photography and wedding video can be provided.

Trip down the river just for the couple in a decorated country boat, which is the tradition of Kumarakom.

Arrangement for 10 couples can be made on a moving luxury Houseboat, with additional capacity if required.


The Wedding Night

The couple enjoys a romantic island dinner in the center of the lagoon.

Choice of spending the wedding night on a Luxury Houseboat or in a Deluxe Cottage. The rooms are beautifully—decorated with flowers. A complimentary fruit basket and a bottle of champagne is provided.


The Next Morning

Special Champagne breakfast in the morning after the wedding.


Couple Accommodations

Three—night stay in a Harbour facing room, a special traditional welcome drink on arrival, and dinner for two on our Cinnamon Coast yacht while it cruises around the backwaters of Cochin


Guests Accommodations

Two—night stay, with a welcome drink, half day of sightseeing, shopping at Jewtown, a cruise down the Cochin backwaters.
