The Romance of a Traditional Hindu Wedding
The PreWedding Ceremony
Mehendi (special henna colouring applied in intricate, beautiful patterns
on the hands) of the bride and the guests. A special Sangeet (Indian wedding songs)
can be arranged.
Wedding Procession
A traditional “Baraat” or procession starts from the hotel’s gates of the hotel.
The bridegroom sits on a beautifully decorated horse, and is escorted camels and
elephants. Folk dancers and girls welcome the couple with a traditional dance,
fireworks and a special “Buggi” (horse driven cart), escorting them into the
main garden for the wedding.
The Wedding Ceremony
The priest conducts the special Hindu wedding ceremony in front of a “havan” or
small fire, speaking ancient chants and blessing the wedding. An Indian music group
plays traditional Indian music in the background.
Includes a framed wedding certificate, a bottle of champagne, and a wedding cake after the wedding.
Photography and wedding video can be arranged.
PostWedding Ceremony
The couple and their guests enjoy a delicious special dinner amidst the lush palace
gardens. The couple takes a short “Buggi” ride, with a glass of champagne and join
the group at the gardens for dinner. An extravagant Rajasthani meal is on special
silver “thalis” (plates) and a traditional Rajasthani dance is performed, followed by
live Indian classical music
The Wedding Night
A special candlelight dinner in the worldrenowned gardens of Rambagh Palace, with a bottle of sparkling wine.
A specially decorated room filled with flowers and the traditional glass of flavoured milk (Badam) that is offered to the groom by the bride. 2 bedtime drinks (Badam milk), dry fruits, cookies and fresh fruits will be kept in the room.
The Next Morning
A special champagne brunch for the bridal couple in their room.
