About Coonoor Coonoor is a hill station in the Nilgiris , which is blessed with milder climate than the Queen of Hills, Udhagamandalam alias Ooty. It stands on a lower ridge of the main plateau at an altitude of 1839 meters. There are many picnic spots surrounding the town.
